Background

Why we started AltabourseETH

Anyone who has spent a year in crypto chats knows the routine. A ticker appears with a rocket emoji, the price moves a bit, and a week later nobody remembers the call. Losing trades vanish from the feed. Winners get reposted for months.

We were tired of reading signals that could not be checked. So we set ourselves one rule: an alert is published only when it can say what happened, where the idea is valid and the price at which it stops being valid. If those three things cannot be written down, there is no alert that day.

The anchor

Why we start with Ethereum

When ETH falls 5% in a day, a nice chart on some small coin is usually worth nothing by the evening. Altcoins follow Ethereum far more often than they ignore it. So before a coin is judged on its own, we look at ETH: is it gaining on Bitcoin or losing, are its networks busier than last month or quieter? On weak ETH weeks you will see fewer alerts, and the ones that do appear get lower scores.

Who does what

The screening

Around 600 tokens go through it each morning. Coins nobody can buy or sell in size are thrown out first. In the rest it hunts for something that moved: big wallets buying, fewer coins sitting on exchanges, more people using the network, funding flipping, an unlock on the calendar. Whatever is left gets a score out of 100.

The alert

One sentence on what happened, one on what could go wrong. Then the numbers: where to look for entry, two targets, the price where the idea is dead and the day it expires. If it dies or runs out of time, you get a short note saying which.

You

You pick the coins for your watchlist, choose up to ten for close watch and decide whether an alert is worth a trade. You can also send us coins to add to the screening.

The invalidation level is shown before you read anything else.
Failed alerts stay visible

They close with a note explaining what went wrong, and nothing gets quietly edited later.
We never hold your money

Deposits, withdrawals and trades run through your own account with a partner broker.

A score describes how many factors agree. It is not a forecast of your result.

How AltabourseETH is paid for

Sign-up is free and there is no subscription. You get the alerts after you fund your own account with a partner broker with at least 250 USD. That money stays in your name. Partner brokers may pay us for clients who come from AltabourseETH, and this does not change which coins get an alert.
